MHC is comprised of a group of exceptionally skilled psychotherapists and psychologists in Fort Lauderdale. Their mission is to help people experience psychological freedom, gain greater intimacy in relationships and feel more alive. We are passionately committed to supporting individuals as they learn how to deal with stress and anxiety in their day to day lives.

At MHC Florida, we offer several types of personal therapy:

Psychotherapy (often referred to as “therapy”) is the treatment of psychological distress by a trained professional (referred to as the “therapist”).

The value in getting treatment is to overcome some of the following feelings or events:

  • a traumatic event
  • a change in environment
  • consequences of decisions
  • problems with relationships
  • problems at work
  • phases in the life cycle
  • family changes or dynamics
  • general life stress

Therapy is also used to get things off your chest and get professional feedback with action items you can do to make yourself feel better. Psychotherapy is administered through confidential sessions with an individual, couple, family or group and usually involves working through the problem(s) through discussion and other activities, as designed by the therapist specifically for the person or persons in treatment. Each person is treated specifically with a plan to help their specific needs.

Therapy takes place in 45-60 minute sessions held on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. This frequency and schedule are based on many factors, mainly the severity of the need for help.
