Qualified Parent Coordination

shadowParent Coordination is a Court appointed service used in high-conflict custody battles. A credentialed professional is brought in by the judicial system to assist parents with the implementation of their parenting plan. Parent Coordinators provide guidance, make recommendations and monitor compliance.  The goal of the parent coordinator is to ensure that the children involved are protected and ultimately promote healthy parent-child relationships. Because of the considerable experience, training required, potential legal ramifications of parent coordinator recommendations as well as the increased educational requirements (additional 61 credit hours), only the most qualified mental health professionals are considered for this difficult and important service and they are thus termed Qualified Parent Coordinators as opposed to Parent Coordinators, to set them apart from the rest!
